how much does it cost?
Please refer to the Price List for a detailed breakdown on packages.
how many lessons will we need?
This depends on the complexity and length of your first dance, as well as your personal preferences in regards to how much time you want to devote to this part of your wedding. My personal recommendation is three lessons, but I respect that not everyone has the time or inclination. With your permission, I am always happy to record your dance at the end of a lesson with your phone or recording device, so that you can practice in your own time.
Do You Support same-sex marriage?
Always have, always will. Love is love.
what if i have two left feet?
You’ve come to the right place! Unless told otherwise, I will always assume you are both absolute beginners: there are zero expectations of dance experience. I understand that the idea of a first dance may be daunting, which is why I’m here to help. All my lessons are designed to ensure that everyone has fun.
How long is a first dance?
This is largely dependent on your song choice. I’ll listen to your chosen song (or shortlist!) and make appropriate suggestions, or design choreography to suit. As a rule of thumb, two minutes is usually ample. However, it’s your wedding! Make your guests sit through a 20 minute musical if you’re so inclined! You can have it as short or as long as you like.
Where are the lessons?
There’s two options. I can come to you, as majority of couples prefer learning in the comfort of their own home: all we need is a lounge room. Or I also teach at Nailsworth Community Hall, located at 31 D'Erlanger Ave, Collinswood SA 5081.
do you travel interstate?
Lessons can be provided interstate and overseas on request. Please contact me for a quote - 0439 680 973 or brionydancing@gmail.com.
What do we wear?
Wear something that you feel comfortable in. Jeans or active wear is fine. Or gold hot pants, if that’s your thing. I’ll look after the music and the choreography.
How early should we start lessons?
A few months out. You will want your dance to be fresh in your mind, but not too last minute as there’s usually plenty to do as your wedding date approaches.
What if we don’t have a song?
No worries. I can provide a list of suggested songs, or we can have a chat about the different styles of dance you might like to try and choose music that will suit.
Do you choreograph flash mobs or other partner dancing?
Yes. I also do Father/Daughter, Mother/Daughter, Mother/Son, Father/Son choreography, flash mobs and any others you can think of. Get in touch for a personalised quote.
